How we got here and where we're going
Nurseco started with a promise made in a car between split shifts.
Years ago, Deanne was working as a support worker, passionate about care but exhausted by a system that didn't value the people doing the work. Split shifts, unpaid admin, constant understaffing. She watched good carers burn out and leave, not because they didn't care, but because the system didn't care about them.
She made a decision: become a registered nurse, get the qualifications needed to change things, and look for opportunities to make a difference.
That's what Nurseco is. A community nursing provider built on a simple principle: if you look after your nurses, they look after your clients. Nurses are paid for their time, including admin, travel, and handovers. No corporate hoops. No treating staff as interchangeable.
Our team is involved in every layer of the business. Their input shapes how we grow, what we take on, and how we deliver care.
Many of our nurses tell us they see themselves staying long term, not because we're perfect, but because the work feels sustainable and the culture feels real. We're not trying to be the biggest nursing provider in Queensland. We're trying to prove that safe, reliable, person-centered care doesn't require burning people out to achieve it.
